Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC)

Under EU REACH regulation, Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) belongs to one of the following. If a substance is identified as an SVHC, it will be added to the Candidate List for eventual inclusion in the Authorisation List.

- carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction (CMRs);

- persistent, bio-accumulative and toxic (PBTs);

- very persistent and bio-accumulative (vPvBs);

- seriously and / or irreversibly damaging the environment or human health, as substances damaging the hormone system
